A Smarter Way to Peel: Why Mesoestetic® MD Peels Lead the Way

A Smarter Way to Peel: Why Mesoestetic® MD Peels Lead the Way

Chemical peels have always been a staple in advanced skin treatment. But not all peels are created equal. While many promise brighter, clearer skin, only a select few are backed by decades of dermatological research, medical precision and targeted results. One of the most trusted names in professional skincare is Mesoestetic, whose Mesopeel and Mesopeel MD ranges offer a deeper, more intelligent approach to concerns like pigmentation, acne, rosacea and skin ageing.

At Glass Face, we believe in combining results-driven science with personalised care. That’s why we’re proud to introduce Mesoestetic’s professional peel systems, including the high-performance MD formulations, to our clinic menu this summer.

What Makes Mesoestetic Peels Different?

Mesoestetic MD peels are medic-only chemical peels designed to address specific skin issues in a controlled and safe way. What sets them apart is not just the quality of their acids, but the inclusion of a unique MD Complex in their advanced range, which enhances skin regeneration, reduces inflammation and improves tolerance, even in more sensitive or reactive skin types.

Unlike one-size-fits-all peels, Mesoestetic formulations are layered and tailored to the individual, meaning we can target multiple concerns in one session.

What Skin Concerns Do Mesoestetic Peels Treat?

Pigmentation

Pigmentation is one of the most common reasons people seek clinical skincare. Whether it’s melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or sun-induced dark spots, Mesoestetic’s Melanostop Tranex MD and Melanoplus Touch MD offer a powerful yet balanced solution. These peels combine tranexamic acid, kojic acid and glutathione with exfoliants like salicylic acid to fade pigment while calming inflammation.

Acne and Oily Skin

From mild congestion to active breakouts, acne-prone skin needs more than surface-level exfoliation. Mesoestetic’s Salicylic 20%, Mandelic 30% and Blemiskin MD peels help to reduce oil production, refine pores, unclog follicles and improve texture without triggering irritation or rebound oiliness.

Rosacea and Sensitivity

Peeling sensitive or reactive skin used to be off the table, but with azelaic acid, mandelic acid-based or the popular Azelan peels in the Mesoestetic range, even those with rosacea or redness-prone skin can benefit. These peels help calm inflammation, reduce vascular reactivity and smooth skin gently over time.

Ageing and Loss of Firmness

When treating signs of ageing like fine lines, uneven tone and dullness, Mesoestetic offers a choice of lactic, glycolic and retinol-based options — including the Retiflash MD, Oxyage MD and phenTCA MD for deeper rejuvenation. These work by increasing collagen production and improving dermal thickness, rather than simply smoothing the surface.

How Do Mesoestetic Peels Compare to Other Popular Peels?

Obagi Blue Radiance

Obagi’s Blue Radiance Peel is a well-known salicylic acid-based peel that’s effective for mild acne, congestion and brightening. While it gives a nice glow and some surface level clarity, it lacks the multi-layered flexibility and targeted active combinations that Mesoestetic peels offer. Mesoestetic can be customised for deeper pigment, rosacea or ageing, where Obagi may be too one-dimensional.

BioRePeel

BioRePeel has become popular at Glass Face clinic and worldwide for its no-downtime, biostimulating action and mild resurfacing effects. While it's gentle and suitable for most client skin types, the concentration of active acids is lower, and results tend to be more for mild to moderate skin concerns. It’s a great introductory peel, but for deeper clinical concerns like melasma, severe acne scarring or resistant pigmentation, Mesoestetic MD peels are in a different league.

BioRePeel and Obagi are both great tools, but Mesoestetic is more clinical, more flexible and more evidence-based, with deeper regenerative action.

Are These Peels Safe?

Yes, but they should only be administered by trained professionals who understand skin histology, layering protocols and post-peel care. Mesoestetic peels are clinically tested, CE-certified and used by medics worldwide, which is why we trust them at Glass Face.

What to Expect from Treatment

  • Course of 3 to 6 peels recommended depending on concern
  • Downtime ranges from either none or light flaking for 2 to 5 days, depending on the peel used
  • Improvement begins after the first session, with progressive results over time
  • Custom treatment plans available for mixed concerns (e.g. acne and pigmentation or rosacea and ageing)

Aftercare is simple but crucial: avoid strong actives, wear SPF religiously, and let the skin regenerate without disruption.
